The ACT Government is committed to strengthening correctional interventions, services and activities for women offenders, as well as enhancing opportunities for reintegration. ACT Corrective Services is currently developing a Women Offenders Framework in consultation with key stakeholders.
The Framework will focus on types of interventions, services and constructive activities that support reducing reoffending, the different social experiences of women, and enhancing wellbeing and gender-responsive approaches to services delivery.  Drivers, theoretical principles, enablers and strategies for the management of women in custody and women under supervision in the community will also be considered in the Framework.
