In response to the COVID-19 public health emergency, the ACTCT has continued with a range of measures to support social distancing and reduce the spread of the virus and developed an adaptive framework to respond to changes in the risk profile within the community.

Significant improvements were implemented in 2020 to improve the use of technology and remote appearances within the Courts and Tribunal and provide a range of options for hearing matters. Procedures have been enhanced to incorporate these into all aspects of operations. Additional sanitising, cleaning and PPE has been implemented and maintained with the Courts and Tribunal premises both representing a high standard in COVID-safe workplaces and Community spaces.

The ACTCT has updated its business continuity plan to further enhance its response pandemic scenarios and new technology solutions that were rolled out in the context of the COVID-19 public health emergency.
