New Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras installed to improve safety at Henry Rolland Park
Four new CCTV cameras installed at Henry Rolland Park are just one of the many projects set to keep Canberra safe under the ACT Government’s Strategic Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Plan 2020-2022.
The cameras were launched on 24 January 2020 by the Minister for Police and Emergency Services Mick Gentleman, who joined the ACT Chief Police Officer Ray Johnson and members of the Justice and Community Safety Directorate’s Security and Emergency Management Branch to announce the CCTV plan and highlight future works.
The ACT Government continues to invest in CCTV as a key public safety and crime prevention tool, and the CCTV Plan sets out the priorities for the next three years.
Under the CCTV Plan the ACT Government is progressing 18 CCTV activities that will help to keep Canberrans safe and further support ACT Policing to identify criminals and bring them to justice.
